Built in a challengingly tight spot, the project towers 7 storeys high above the historic rooftops of the Northern Quarter. Constructed from a novel woodcrete material, Isotex, the building will consist of 4 x 1-bed studio apartments and a single 3-bed duplex with full-width balcony and a commercial ground floor unit. The building is clad in bespoke brickwork to sympathise with the surrounding lexicon to give a modern twist to the industrial epoch streets of the NQ.
By listening carefully to the needs of the community and planners, we and our architect Emma Lindblom of Lind Studio, were able to progress quickly with an ambitious design that ticks all the boxes for city centre home building in 2020 and beyond.
